THE LIFE OF AN ANIMAL OR A CONVICTED KILLER MORE VALUABLE?

I know this topic has been beaten to death lately but I just would for one quick minute like you to think about something.

If you or I were to allow a dog, a cat, a horse, or a pig die of starvation and dehydration what do you think would happen to us? We would be guilty of animal neglect and taken to jail. Yet at the same time, the husband of Terry Schiavo is about to have her feeding tube removed, thus cutting of her supply of nutrition and hydration, but a court has said it is ok to do this.

Why is it ok to starve this helpless woman to death, but it is a crime to do the same thing to an animal? Animals are just as helpless as this young woman.

I know she has been in a vegative state for several years, but at the same time, her husband has already moved on with his life. He has been living with a woman and the two children that he fathered with her since his wife Terry slipped into the condition that she is in. Why does he not let her parent care for her if he has already moved on.

I feel that there is a liberal agenda at play here. Giving more value to the life of an animal then that of a human being is the thoughts of the animal rights nut cases. This is just another way for liberals to devalue human life much like they have with defending abortion which is nothing more then the legal murder of a human life.

If Terry Schiavo is to die, why should it not be when Hashem feels it should be? Let's read a little bit about the Death sentence that awaits this young lady.


MYTH - Death by starvation and dehydration is painless.

REALITY - In Wesley J. Smith's book, "Forced Exit," St. Louis neurologist William Burke said: "An unconscious person would feel it (dehydration) just as you or I would. They will go into seizures. Their skin cracks, their tongue cracks, their lips crack. They may have nosebleeds because of the drying of their mucous membranes, and heaving and vomiting might ensue because of the drying out of the stomach lining. They will feel the pangs of hunger and thirst. Imagine going one day without a glass of water. Death by dehydration takes 10 to 14 days. It is an extremely agonizing death."

Dr. Terry Stevens had this too say about the pain and suffering that Terry Schiavo would endure if this court ordered death sentence takes place:
"Without intervention Terri will not have a comfortable death", he told LifeNews.com Technically, Terri will die from dehydration, not starvation.

"Her progression will go from thirst to extreme thirst. [Terri] is likely to cry and moan till she is so dehydrated she won't have tears and her mouth is too dry and cracked to make sounds.
"If she gets any fluids in by mouth (if they are allowed) the process could take longer," Stevens tells LifeNews.com.
Terri will likely suffer numerous symptoms over time, and they will get worse the longer it takes for her to die.

"She may have nose bleeds as the mucous dries out. She will probably experience nausea, vomiting and cramps as her intestines dehydrate. She will decrease her urine output, have dizziness, cramping in the arms and legs as her electrolytes get out of balance," Stevens explains.
Unless Terri's feeding tube is reinserted quickly or she is able to receive food and water orally, her situation may grow worse. Stevens concludes:

"She may have seizures and even further brain damage during the process".

We show more compassion and worry more about the suffering of animals and the agony of making a prisoner wear a pair of panties on his head then we do about Terry Schiavo and her parents. That is the direction being taken by our civilization.
