Members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences are starting to rethink their choice of person to host the Academy Awards.
Comedian Chris Rock made a statement that "Only homosexuals watch the Oscar's" and that "awards for art are fu*#ing idiotic." , thus upsetting many of the Academy's members.
"What straight black man sits there and watches the Oscars. Show me one!" According to the Drudgereport, members of the Academy are quietly calling on Rock's removal from host status. It is also said that Rock plans on throwing the awards into complete chaos.
GO CHRIS GO....! Hollyweird deserves this. I hope Chris Rock's appearance as host is a complete embarasment to the whackos and weirdos of Hollywood.
Personally, I have heard Chris Rock's comedy. The Guy Is Freakin Hilarious. He has caused the Roguish one more tears from laughter then any other comedian. The guy says things that make sense. He says things about people of his own race that I am sure has upset the "Thought Police" and the Merchants of Hate and discontent. The same people that are upset with Bill Cosby and who I believe are conspiring against him with what I believe will be false allegation of sexual misconduct in an attempt to discredit him.
Chris Rock Beware! These people that you are pissing off are a mean spirited bunch. They make claims of how mean Republicans are. Their contempt for those who go against their message and ways of thinking make Stalin seem like a nice guy.
Mr. Rock should remember that it was Ed Asner that stated "We got Limbaugh. Hannity is next." These people have the resources and the means to make their enemies pay dearly for what they do. Hollyweird has its own blacklist.
I applaud Chris Rock. Thanks to him, this is one straight Jewish guy that will be watching the awards with anticipation of his antics. I recomend that all my readers watch his comedy tapes or DVD's. Listen to what he says about his own race. Mind you, these videos are not for youngsters, Mr. Rock does have a talent for using profanity and has taken it to an art form all its own.

I have occasionally watched the Oscars over the years. The entertainment value often depends upon the host who is almost always a comedian. Chris Rock was obviously joking since he realizes that heterosexuals watch the Oscars. The members of the Academy and others (you included)should relax a little and realize that Chris Rock's humor is really directed just about in all directions: Gays/straights, right-wing/left-wing, blacks & whites, etc. I personally think that's a strength because then everyone gets a chance to laugh at themselves. It's what would make him a good host. I don't think that political polarization is his agenda but he likes to stir things up a bit. He's a comedian/actor in show business trying to make a living and a career. I think that rabid Macarthyites and whacko libertarians can easily make a mountain out of a humorous molehill. DMR
